J&J Traditional Rendering & Plastering. Service Engagement Terms

1. Acceptance of Terms

By engaging J&J Traditional Rendering & Plastering to perform any service. Including quotes, inspections, installations, or repairs. You agree to these terms. These terms supplement, and are read alongside, any specific quote or work order you sign.

2. Standards and Compliance

J&J Traditional Rendering & Plastering carries out all work to the relevant Australian Standards and NSW (New South Wales) Fair Trading requirements for rendering and plastering. Details of our current insurances are available on request.

3. Quotes and Consultation

A consultation fee of $88 applies for a quotation and is discounted from your first invoice once the job proceeds. This covers a proper on-site appraisal and consultation, not just a price. Written quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue, subject to site conditions being as represented. Variations discovered on site (hidden services, or substrate condition revealed during preparation) will be discussed with you before any additional work proceeds.

4. Deposit and Payment

For installations, a deposit (typically 20%) is payable on acceptance of the quote, with the balance due on completion. Smaller service calls are invoiced on completion. Payment terms are 7 days from invoice unless otherwise agreed. We accept bank transfer and credit card (surcharge applies).

5. Scheduling and Access

You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the work site on the scheduled day and to identify any hazards or restrictions (pets, children, shared walls, asbestos materials). Where access cannot be provided, reasonable waiting time may be billed.

6. Site Conditions and Safety

All work complies with the National Construction Code (NCC), relevant Australian Standards for the trade categories we undertake, and SafeWork NSW (New South Wales) WHS regulations. Site safety plan supplied for major projects.

7. Workmanship and Satisfaction

J&J Traditional Rendering & Plastering stands behind its workmanship and is committed to your satisfaction on every job. Where the Home Building Act 1989 (NSW) applies to your project, the statutory warranties under that Act apply.

8. Cancellation

You may cancel up to 48 hours before the scheduled start with any deposit refunded in full. Cancellation within 48 hours may incur a reasonable callout fee to cover scheduling and mobilisation. Emergency work cancellations are assessed case-by-case.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to re-performing the service or refunding the amount paid for the relevant work. Nothing in these terms excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

10. Dispute Resolution

Any concern about our work should be raised with us first, in writing, so we can inspect and address the issue. Where resolution can't be reached, disputes may be referred to NSW (New South Wales) Fair Trading or the Building Commission NSW.
