The Victorian architecture started in 1840 through to 1901. As the name states the period was named after the current queen of the day Queen Victoria. The Victorian style featured symmetrical layouts and facades.
The typical Victorian has a central hallway and 4 standard rooms. Weatherboard was often used but larger Victorian homes used brick and stone.
We specialize in the Victorian period due to the amount of these homes that we renovate, at least 70% of our work. These types of homes usually require renders that are familiar with the old style mixes and replicating the Ashlar block work lines.
